Nash Ryan Tanner

February 2, 2010
5:28 pm
5 lbs 8 oz
18.5 inches

We were surprised 3 weeks early with the arrival of little Nash.
I will give more details later, but for now, enjoy lots of pictures.

Nash wouldn't be an official Tanner if his dad didn't initiate him into the Red Sox Nation right from the start.

We were so excited for Blake to meet his baby brother.

He loved him and wanted to be right on the bed next to us.

Leaning in for a kiss.

Wow, a family of four!

Blake helped open some presents for Nash and wanted to be just like him with a matching bib.

He even imitated the baby putting his fingers in his mouth by showing him how to properly suck his thumb.

Here are some of Blake's first reactions and also his discovery of the joy of hospital beds.

Proud grandparents.

Uncle Jo.

Nash is Happy, Healthy, and Drowning in newborn clothes!

  5. Congratulations!! He is soooo cute! It took me a minute to catch on to his name... I kept seeing it and thinking "ok, baby Nash, but what is his first name" then it hit me. Duh! Your last name isn't Nash anymore! :D Little slow these days. Enjoy your new little guy. I'm anxious to hear all about his arrival.

  7. Congratulations! What a great name. I wish my maiden name made a cool first name.

We'll have to compare notes some time on 3-week-early babies. I am interested to see if you notice any big differences between Blake and Nash. (I guess maybe those differences will have nothing to do with being 3 weeks early) But still, I am convinced some problems Sadie had were due to being born 3 weeks early.

Anyway, hope everything goes well as a family of four!

  9. Oh my gosh, he's the new official NASHY!!!! Congratulations!

I actually teared up when I saw these pictures. I mean, A. I was surprised because I wasn't expecting the birth announcement blog for a while yet, and B. Because I remember so vividly sitting in the tree and playing that game with the strings on our fingers with you at West...and now you are all grown up and a mother of two and in these pictures right after labor, you still manage to look like a total champ.

So happy for you, Nashy #1 and welcome to the world Nashy #2!!!

  12. Ok, obviously that comment was from me. It makes me giggle just to think of Mitch going on like that about a baby. For some reason every time I tried to delete the comment it would say my browswer cookies were disabled. Whatever!

  17. Congratulations! Wow, I'm interested in your story now. Seems like these babies just don't want to wait it out in the womb. Much to do down here I guess. I love that Blake is so comfortable around Nash. Ryland is still working on getting use to Rhys. Best wishes with the new adjustment at home. Its been an adventure for me!
