There are so many things we love about being in Michigan, but at the top of the list is spending our days at the beach. My parents grew up going to a particular beach overlooking the Pere Marquette lighthouse and I did too. Now it is a part of my boys' childhood and it always feels like home.
On our last day in Michigan, the lighthouse was open and we climbed up the spiral staircase and ladders to the top lookout.
We love the ocean, but there's nothing like a good Lake Michigan beach day.
