Crew is our ringleader in the holiday decor category. He presses me to pull out the Halloween decorations well before October. I usually find myself agreeing because he's so persistent. However, the final product of spider webs and orange mini lights never seems to fully satisfy him. The minimalist in me wants to haul out (and put away and store) less and less each year but Crew is disappointed that our house isn't as spooky as our neighbors.
We agreed to add one new item each year and this year we wound up with Mr. Skeleton. The boys loved sitting next to him on the porch while waiting for preschool carpools. Mr. Skeleton even temporarily satisfied Crew's desire for more spooky decor.
