Phi Phi Islands

One of the day excursions we took from Krabi was to the Phi Phi Islands. Our first stop was Bamboo Island, where we swam in crystal clear turquoise water and played frisbee on the beach.

Our boat took us through several different bays and caves.

We jumped off the boat to swim and snorkel among colorful fish and coral at Loh Samah Bay.

We stopped on the only inhabited island in the Phi Phi Islands; Phi Phi Don. After a rich lunch buffet, we walked along the boardwalk and went in a few souvenir shops. It was hard to focus on island life with the distraction of stunning views on the other side.

We almost skipped the Phi Phi Islands because the water conditions made it so private smaller boats couldn't make the journey. We weren't initially thrilled about taking a large tourist boat, but in the end were so glad we did. The tour was well organized and the sights were stunning. Seeing the Phi Phi Islands is a must if you're in Southern Thailand.
