Christmas Day Test Run

As nice as it sounded to curl up and take a nice long nap on Christmas Day, the boys were itching to get outside and try out their new toys so my dad, brother and I took the older three boys to the park.

Blake and Nash couldn't wait to try out their new video device (the child version of a GoPro). Blake clamped it onto Crew's car and let the test run begin.

I say it every time, but no trip to the desert would be complete without pausing to watch the famous fountain that erupts hourly.

Everyone was thrilled to run around for awhile.

My brother took the boys on the tire swing and what started as innocent spinning quickly accelerated and body limbs started unraveling from all directions. Nash's legs somehow came out from under him and I frantically ran in to rescue him when he was grasping onto the chains with only his hands.

My dad happened to be filming the whole situation gone awry.

The boys had fun trying out their new toys but I think they enjoyed making up games with rocks even more. They sure are blessed to have built in best friends. A Merry Christmas indeed.

  1. Looks like fun! They and you are very blessed that they are each other's best friends. Darling photo of Nash on the lawn.
