For the first time in years, we didn't make a summer bucket list. Our move completely took over our summer and we were lucky to squeeze in a few fun things amidst all the house hunting, packing, moving and unpacking.
I took some quick snapshots from my phone, so here you have it; summer according to my phone.
We survived our endless packing with a few beach breaks.
Lots of pool breaks.
And lots of popsicles.
We went to our town's outdoor movie night. We killed time waiting for it to get dark with some tunes.
Scout day camp is always a highlight.
Crew loves to go to sibling camp on the days I volunteer. He especially loves all the attention he gets from the big kids when we meet up for lunch.
He didn't even mind getting scraped and bandaged up.
Blake did a lemonade stand with some friends.
Blake and his friend Talon are quite the entrepreneurs. They're always trying to think of ways to earn money. They sold ice cream bars at the waterpark and cleaned neighbors' yards to earn some cash as well.
Blake and Talon also went to Jr. Lifeguard camp. They spent all week on the beach learning ocean safety and swimming skills. The physical exercise was rigorous and Blake came home exhausted each day.
We spent lots of Sunday nights at Salt Creek paying Corn Hole with friends.
It's one of our favorite traditions; we sit back and relax while the kids run around with their friends. We get the beach feel without the mess of all the sand.
Our summer shaped up to be more work than play, but it was refreshing to get out and have a little fun from time to time.
Love the summery pictures!
