Last summer, you walked into bodies of water fully clothed.
You ran underneath full water buckets at splash parks.
You were fearless when it came to water.
This year, we have attempted the splash park three times, and you haven't gone within six feet of the water.
You have clung to the bench. And any non-wet play equipment you could find.
What happened? When did you become cautious?
Was it those high waves in Hawaii? Or getting splashed one too many times by your brother in the tub?
What can I do to help you renew your love of water?
Because it's going to be a long hot summer if you are unwilling to get wet.
Sincerely,
Mom
